Sophie Turns 1

At this time one year ago today, I was at the hospital enjoying real food for the first time in 10 months. I distinctly remember what I had...a chicken sandwich from Wendy's and a pumpkin pie shake from Milwaukee Custard. And, right next to me was a perfectly beautiful baby girl that was asleep.

It has been such an amazing, fun year of getting to know this little angel and we love her oh so much!! Happy Birthday Sophie! I can't believe it's already been a year. You were so tiny!! I love this picture of her with Chris...he wanted to hold her so bad, but didn't realize how heavy she'd be..."Take her back Take her back! She too heavy!!"

And now you are the cutest baby girl ever!! I got a little crafty this week and made her outfit. I'll have better pictures later this week after we get them taken. She was so cute with her tutu! She couldn't stop touching it.

Chris told me that she had to have pink cupcakes because she was a princess...so darn cute!! So we gave her one and let her have at it. She's a dainty eater just like her big brother and was not into getting really dirty. Keith tried to assist and she proceeded to clean herself off best she could on him. Afterwards, it was into the tub!

And finally...presents!! She wasn't really into unwraping, but she loved her new toys and loved that Chris would play with her too.

Happy Birthday Baby Girl!! I wish you the world and hope that this next year is full of just as much fun as this one has been! We love you!!

Halloween Round 1

Chris was having a very hard time this year trying to figure out who to be for Halloween. There were oh so many cool guys to choose from...Batman, Robin, Wolverine, Optimus Prime, Iron Man, Captain America (again)...on and on.

I knew that we would be at Disney for Halloween so I figured that I could givehim at least 2 options to work with. One for pictures here, and one that was comfortable while we were down in Florida. I was shocked at who he wanted to be for the photos. I don't think any other 4 year old would know and love this person. Heck, I'd be shocked if anyone my age would have a good grasp on who this is. What are your thought??

A fiery horse with the speed of light, the cloud of dust and a hearty 'Hi Ho Silver'...The Lone Ranger. Yes indeed, I have a cool kid. He loved it! He still wears it arould the house all the time. I get a lot of, "Mommy, I'm the Lone Ranger today...do you need to be saved?" Oh the preciousness!

Sophie was pretty easy. I definitely wanted something Disney for the first costume...I got away with this for Chris too when he was too young to care. First he was Pluto and then Peter Pan (which he actually did want to be).

Baby girl got to be Tinkerbell and she was a major cutie in her costume.

And here are the cuties together having fun.

Haircut, Mall, and Best Football Pics Ever!!

I think I have the best mom ever. She's definitely my best bud and we have such a wonderful fun time with each other. One thing about my mom...she takes her football seriously. We are a big Redskins and West Virginia Mountaineer family.

Doing all the consignment sales, I will occassionally come across a fantastic find. Last spring I found a little cheerleader outfit that was for WVU in a 12 month size. I have been very excited about getting football pictures done with the kids to give to her for Christmas. However, they turned out so darn cute that I couldn't wait until Christmas.

First though, little man desperately needed a haircut so a trip to Cartoon Cuts in the local mall was in order. Normally he gets his haircut with my dad at the barbershop my dad has frequented as long as I remember...male bonding time my mom says. Somehow Chris ends up coming home with about 10 different lollipops...bribes much??!!

Isn't he handsome!!

Then to lunch and a quick ride on the carousel...

And on to get our photos...these turned out amazing! Our kiddos make my heart and my face smile every single day and these are now some of my favorite photos of the two of them. The love that they have for each other is truly unreal. We are definitely blessed!
